OK, so you just got your Wii and your all excited about it. But wait, do you have any games for it yet? The Wii has been around for a couple years now and it’s library has grown extensively. Arguably the best Wii game out. This critically-acclaimed masterpiece is one that the other platformers should take notes from. This exciting platformer really shook up the industry when it was released in December 2007. Mario once again redefined the definition of platform games by going out of this world– literally. S.M.G. is based in outer space and Mario’s world has never been the same. The sheer explorable world is so vast that it ranks as the largest Super Mario game to date. Think G.T.A. with goombas. It is also the best selling Mario game to date, not to mention the 6th best selling Wii game overall! Needless to say, Super Mario Galaxy is a must-buy game.

Super Smash Bros Brawl

Yes, it’s another Mario title– hey he is, after all, Nintendo’s mascot. But, this time he came with his Nintendo friends. This brawler is a smash hit and for good reason– it’s loads of fun! First of all, you get to play as your favorite Super Mario Bros character or a slew of other characters from Nintendo’s roster. Characters such as Solid Snake (of Metal Gear Solid fame), Link (from the Zelda series), and Kirby among many others make this game a worthy pick-up. Did we mention, it’s online multi player option? Fighting your friends is one of the most fun online experiences you will have on the Wii, so go ahead and brawl!

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

The return of Samus means it’s time to celebrate. We have been waiting for a great first person shooter on the Wii and this could be it! Yes, Nintendo fans can rejoice as we have one of the best shoot-em-ups for the Wii and the return of the Metroid series. Although some die-hard Metroid purists may object to this new incarnation abandoning the side-scrolling style of the original series (in favor of a more modern f.p.s. style), this game is sure to please! Corruption is one of the best games out on the Wii currently and definitely one you should not miss!
