We bought 4 of them to talk with family around the US. Works like a charm with the Wii Speak Channel. We have been able to talk in a conference call situation between all with great clarity for hours with little or no breakups during the chat. Highly recommended if family and friends have Wii’s.

Unless you have a keyboard attached to your wii or are really good at point-and-clicking the on-screen keyboard this is a must. It picks up sound very well and makes it much easier to play with friends.

I have been having so much fun playing Animal Crossing: City Folk with my niece and using the Wii Speak Mic to talk to her. It brings a great new level to our play time! There aren’t many Wi-Fi games for Wii that are suitable for us to play together but this one is perfect and the microphone works great!!
The sound quality is good– there is a bit of an echo on my end but I may just have to reposition the mic. You can’t adjust your tv sound once it’s on or you’ll ruin the entire session so make sure you have it set to a good level before starting.
The only serious draw-back is that it only works for this one game. I’d really love to have the option to use it with all Wi-Fi games so that we can talk to each other while we play. It’s great for families living a long distance apart!

We bought this for Animal Crossing city folk, and use it a lot with different people online and it works great. The thing that i like about it best is also the reason a lot people dont like it and thats the fact that its conference call style. So if you say something in the room with the wii everyone who is playing with you then can hear it. Which i like for two reasons. One when we play xbox and one person has the headset on the other two just kinda feel excluded cause you cant hear the online or join in (i dont know if you cant get more headsets cause i dont often play xbox but thats how i felt the few times i did play) and two is there are so many young children with a nintendo wii that it makes it easy for parents to monitor online play and keep the creeps out. the fact that you need to code it came with to get the channel kind of sucks, but people should keep in mind technically the channel doesnt come out til mid december so the code could just be so you can download early before its realised all the way. Overall i like this product and look forward to getting to use it with other games for my wii

Got delivery almost immediately. Wii Speak works as advertised. We can talk (not type) to whomever is online with us. Even if they don’t have Wii Speak, they can hear us talking to them. Sometimes they can even hear things we didn’t intend for them to hear.

My grandchildren and I love the Wii Speak Microphone, we play games and I can talk with two different children in two different cities at the same time and they can talk to each other.
We really enjoy the Wii Speak Microphone with the Animal Crossing game and Endless Ocean.
