Call of Duty has been an outstanding and truly authentic tour through the grittiness of war and it’s perilous surroundings. Throw in the Wii’s gesture-sensitive controls to the mix and Call of Duty becomes absolutely surreal. Using the nunchuck and remote combo as a rifle in the brutal affair of battle is quite an adrenaline rush!

Since Nintendo missed the boat with Call of Duty 4, which appeared on the competitors consoles. COD: World at War has arrived on the beloved and well loved Wii console. Nintendo fans finally have a shooter that is gritty and grown-up, to the dismay of the naysayers who claim the Wii is more for kids. This game will change that notion. The Wii is starting to offer more adult- oriented titles and Call of Duty: World at War is a fantastic example of this direction.

The game is one of the most brutal titles to appear on the Wii, with graphic scenes of war’s violent scenes. Call of Duty: World at War is one of the best shooters available for the Wii and the graphics are absolutely gorgeous. The quick moving cinematic scenes pull you into the game and the gameplay keeps you there with the array of rifles and shotguns in this WWII era shooter. The characters are well explored in World at War and the storyline is quite an intriguing one indeed.

Once you get used to handling the controls on this game, it will be a breeze and you’ll delight in sniping enemies from a distance that much more. World at War is a certain step in the right direction for the Wii. It is quite cinematic and breathtaking, it also makes fantastic use of the Wii’s motion controls. This game brings the Call of Duty experience to Wii gamers who have been patiently waiting to jump into WWII on Nintendo’s latest system.
