Activision has done it again with their latest incarnation, Guitar Hero World Tour Band Kit for the Wii. This game is going to be a hot item this holiday season and for excellent reason, it rocks! Not only has the guitar been redesigned, there have been additions so you can start your own virtual band! These new additions include: a full electronic drum set, a usb microphone, and the exciting new Music Studio Creator (which allows you to share your tracks with friends).

The drumkit comes with a bass kick pedal, two raised cymbals, and three drum pads– making it the most realistic drum experience available for any video game. The microphone plugs in through a usb cord and further adds to the experience of taking the stage as a rock star. The Music Studio Creator allows you to make tracks and share them with your friends through “Ghtunes”. This will allow everyone to truly realize your musical genius!

The online play is quite a visceral experience, especially when you play in the “Battle of the Bulge”. Up to 8 players can participate and you can go head to head with other bands online to determine who the real rock gods are! The track list on this game is the largest yet for any music genre title out there. The list ranges from 311 to Ozzy Osbourne, Willie Nelson, and everyone in between.

Another fantastic option is being able to customize your musicians to fit the look you want. You can change everything on your rocker including: the hair, the tattoos, clothes, body structure even down to the custom logos on your album covers and instruments! This brings greater depth to an already feature-packed title.

One thing’s for sure this holiday season, Band Kit will please most rockers and gamers alike. But, don’t expect to just go to the store and see this baby there. You must make sure that you pick up your copy before the mad rush or you will miss out on this truly monumentous gaming experience. So, go ahead and rock on!
